These legislators are true champions for Nevada’s environment.  In every case, they made conservation of Nevada’s natural resources a top priority.

2011 Senator of the Year Sheila Leslie led the fight against conservation budget cuts and to defeat SB 271

PierceAssemblywoman Peggy Pierce – Assembly District 3
Longtime champion Assemblywoman Peggy Pierce was a key voice on the Natural Resources committee and led the fight in the Assembly against SB 271 and to pass SJR 15.

PierceAssemblywoman Olivia Diaz – Assembly District 11
In her first session, Assemblywoman Olivia Diaz was a key voice on the Judiciary and Transportation committees.

PierceAssemblyman David Bobzien – Assembly District 24
2009 Assemblyman of the Year David Bobzien again sponsored legislation to increase the use of renewable energy and sponsored AB 307, the conservation community’s top priority, as well as leading the fight in the Assembly against SB 271.

Assemblyman Skip Daly showed a strong grasp of conservation issues in his first session and was a key voice against SB 271
